About the Awards
Indian Newslink, The English Language fortnightly, known as the ‘Voice of the Indian Community’ in New Zealand, launched the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards in 2008 to recognise and reward business successes in New Zealand. The categories have steadily expanded based on the feedback received from participants and readers of the newspaper.
This Year's Awards
There are 12 categories in IBA 2011, including two new categories namely, Business Excellence in Property Development and Business Excellence in Agriculture and Horticulture, reflecting the long-term involvement of the Indian business community in these sectors and their growing importance.
Based on the success of IBA 2010, the Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Best Businesswoman of the Year have been retained this year. Entries to these two new categories can be sent either directly by the contestants or through nominations by any organisation or individual.
The finalists and winners will be announced at a gala black tie dinner to be held in November, details of which will be announced in due course.
Free Workshops will also be held in May, June and July 2011, details of which are being finalised and will be announced shortly.
